Looking out over the sunset in Yerucham.
Sitting right next to the window, the beautiful
Colors of the sky, orange, peach, blue,
The moon shines a little small crescent.
The glow of the lights in the streets
Match the glow of the sunset.
There is a silence that has suddenly fallen over the city
As the presence of Shabbat is welcomed in.
It is a calming sensation. The cool of the night
Is quickly approaching creating a sharp crisp in the air.
This is life here, now. Something is telling me to appreciate
The beauty of what there is. I want to feel it, breathe it, taste it.
My home, now, my life, now, is in the desert. This desert warms
My body by day and refreshes it by night. Every sunset is different
By its own adventure of the day. As the orange glow of the sun fades
Away to blues, Shabbat Shalom.
